Frequently asked questions.

  • The peak season is from November through July. Most Caribbean based yachts will relocate further south for hurricane season. There are some yachts that continue to operate from August to October and we can help you navigate those times of year when there are fewer options.

  • 7 nights is generally the average number of nights. Most yachts generally require a minimum of 5 nights. There is no limit on how long you can charter a vessel - dependent on availability.

  • Most yachts are all-inclusive with a professional captain and private chef. Some vessels may have additional crew such as a steward(ess). All meals, snacks, standard ship’s bar (liquor, wine, beer, and soft drinks), fuel for the vessel and tender, insurance for the vessel and crews, all water sports activities. On some vessels SCUBA activities are included while on others there is an additional cost. We can help you navigate that prior to booking.

  • Not included are transfers to and from the airport, crew gratuities (15-20%), optional marina docking for an overnight stay, 3rd party excursions, and meals ashore. Top shelf liquor or wine can be provisioned for your vacation but may be at an additional cost. This can be determined prior to booking and/or embarkation.

  • 15-20% of the charter cost is standard.

  • Once you decide, we will put the yacht on a short term hold for your travel dates. We will do I final confirmation of the yachts availability and specifications and provide you with a standard contract plus any addendums to address further preferences. Your deposit is also required at this time. If you are more than 6 months away from your charter dates, a 25% deposit is required. 25% at 6 months out, and the final 50% is due 60 days before the charter. Your monies are held in escrow and released right before your charter begins.

  • There are 2 common ways.

    Directly from the US or surrounding islands: There are flights into Tortola (Beef Island). The airport is called Terrance B Lettsome Airport - EIS. Flights daily from Miami with American Airlines. You can also book a flight with Cape Air, Seaborne, and Liat Airlines if you are coming from Puerto Rico or St Maarten..

    From the USVI:

    There are many flight per day into St. Thomas (Cyril E. King - STT). From there, you can take a ferry boat or we can help you to arrange a private boat transfer.

  • US citizens are permitted to visit for up to 90 days without a visa. Please ensure you have a passport valid for 6 months from the date of entry.

  • There are many flight options into St. Thomas (airport code - STT). There are also daily flight from Puerto Rico. If your final destination is St. Croix (airport code STX), there are shorter flights from St. Thomas to take you there. There are also direct flights from the US mainland with some seasonality aboard American Airlines and Delta.

  • Most yachts provide wireless internet access while onboard. Although speeds may be slower than on land, the connection is typically sufficient for email and basic web browsing. Be sure to check with your cellular provider regarding any roaming charges during your trip.

  • We do recommend travel insurance. Leading providers often offer coverage for trip cancellations due to severe weather, natural events, medical emergencies, and other unforeseen circumstances. Please check with your preferred travel insurance company for details on available coverage or we can recommend one.
